- Is RFPM just resume software?
- No. RFPM is proposal operations software for AEC teams. Resumes and project sheets are the most visible outputs, but the platform includes an RFP workspace for tracking pursuits, a structured knowledge base for staff, projects, and reusable content, and Ask RFPM Agent, which answers questions from your own firm's data with linked sources. The common wedge for most firms is resume and project-sheet rebuild, which is why we lead with it — but the underlying system handles the full proposal content lifecycle.
- Do we need to do federal SF330 work to use RFPM?
- No. Most firms we work with win state, county, and municipal work — SOQs, RFQs, and state DOT prequalification packages — and RFPM generates all of those from the same structured staff and project data. SF330 is one supported format among many. If you do pursue federal work, RFPM produces Section E resumes and Section F project sheets, but federal work isn't required to get value.
- How is this different from managing resumes in Word or SharePoint?
- Word and SharePoint store formatted documents — fixed layouts with embedded text. When someone earns a new certification or finishes a project, you have to find and update every version across every folder. RFPM stores the underlying data as structured records. Update once, and every future resume generates with current information. The data is the source of truth, not the document.
- We already use ChatGPT for some of this. What does RFPM do that ChatGPT doesn't?
- Most firms we work with already use ChatGPT or Copilot — fine for one-off reformatting. It can't reach into your firm's actual project history or match the format your buyer requires (SF330, state DOT prequal, SOQ). RFPM is grounded in your firm's content and the buyer's schema. The AI searches and drafts; a human on your team makes the final selection.
- Can I generate different formats from the same profile?
- Yes. Each staff member has one profile. From that profile, you can generate a branded SOQ resume, a custom firm template, or an SF330 Section E resume — selecting different projects and qualifications to highlight for each pursuit. The layout and content adapt to the output format, but the source data stays consistent.
- What size firms is RFPM designed for?
- RFPM is built for AEC firms with 15 to 200 staff — civil engineering, construction management, transportation, and water firms that win public-sector work through qualifications-based pursuits like SOQs, RFQs, and SF330s. Per-user pricing scales with your proposal team, not the number of staff whose resumes you store.
- How long does it take to get set up?
